Questions businesses ask
How much does an office removal cost in Adelaide?
It depends on the job, so this site does not publish prices. The things that set the price are the inventory, the access at both buildings (lifts, docks, stairs, parking), the distance, the move window and extras such as packing, furniture assembly or heavy items. Every quote is written against your own inventory.
What are red flags when choosing an office removalist?
A price with no inventory behind it, no written quote, vague answers about insurance, no questions about access at either building, and no plan for who handles IT. A good quote names what moves, when, with which trucks, and what happens if the inventory changes.
How far in advance should we book?
As soon as the lease or fit-out has a date. Docks, lifts, your IT provider and the removalist all need booking.
Can the move happen outside our trading hours?
Tell us the hours your business and your building need when you send the brief. The move window is agreed in the written quote, and we will say plainly what we can do for your building’s access times before anything is booked.
How do you keep downtime short?
By settling the plan before the day: an inventory, a coded floor plan, packed desks, booked lifts and docks, and an IT provider ready to reconnect. Moves can also be staged so most of the business keeps working.
Do you move computers and IT equipment?
We move the equipment as part of the office move, wrapped and boxed and placed by desk code. Backing up, disconnecting, the network and reconnecting belong to your IT provider.
Do we need to empty desks and filing cabinets?
Yes, unless the quote says otherwise. Moveall’s terms ask for loose items to be packed in cartons and furniture emptied before it is moved.
Do you supply boxes and packing materials?
Moveall’s Wrap & Pack service supplies boxes and packing materials and can do the packing. Ask whether it suits your office when you send the brief.
Can you work with our building manager on loading docks and lifts?
Yes. Give us the building manager’s details at both ends. We check parking, lifts and loading arrangements with the building before moving day.
Are our things insured during the move?
Moveall holds $20 million public liability cover. Ask us about transit insurance for your office contents when you request a quote, and check your own business policy.
Do you offer business accounts?
Yes. Moveall for Business offers trade accounts on end-of-month terms, with a dedicated account manager and a custom online booking portal.
Do you assemble furniture and hang artwork?
Both are on the list of extra tasks Moveall for Business offers. Put them in the brief so they are in the quote.
Do you move shops, clinics and warehouses?
Yes. Commercial moves for shops, showrooms, clinics, studios and warehouses are on the commercial removalists page, including curtain-siders for palletised freight.
Can you move our business interstate?
Moveall Interstate handles door-to-door interstate removals into and out of South Australia, by road and rail freight.
What happens if we find more to move on the day?
Tell the team leader. Moveall’s fixed-price quotes rely on the inventory list, and extra items on the day can cost extra.
How do we pay?
Moveall takes major credit cards, Apple Pay and Google Pay. For local moves, a deposit confirms the booking and the balance is paid a day or two after the move. Trade account holders are invoiced on end-of-month terms.
